A pretty song, particularly when sung by a children's choir. Not one of my absolute favourites, but pretty strong. Nice unmercenary sentiment expressed by CTVFan below. LOL.

You're right, it has nothing to do with presents, snow, or Santa Claus. It has EVERYTHING to do with the real reason we celebrate christmas.

I love when the Peanuts gang sings this song at the end of the Charlie Brown Christmas special. It is such a pretty song.

One of my personal favorites of the Carols. It has it's devotion to the birth of Jesus, and it is just one of the prettier carols to listen to.One of the easier ones to sing too. It has a note range that most can meet.The lyrics are nice too.
