imagination needs to stretch that street trained guy like matthew would run into dark alley... should have stayed true to play... also... closing would have been better if there was closure in the relationship...

Another one of my all time favories. I felt it helped mainstream America realize that everyone has a different definition of family. I usually pull it out at least once a year.

Kind of depressing although I think it was meant to be uplifting. I give it an extra star for nice performances by Anne Bancroft(who is always good), Harvey Fierstien, and Matthew Broderick.
