UPDATE:  Domenici announded that he is not seeking election in 2008.  This is a seat that is likely to fall to the Democrats.

ORIGINAL COMMENT:  He is a heavy duty senator and important player for a couple decades now and he has been in the Senate over thirty years. New Mexico shall certainly miss him when he retires.

Soon to be investigated by ethics committees for his knee-jerk involvement in the Bush-Rove-Gonzales contract on US Attorney Inglesias.  He's dead meat by 11/08.  When you think of the Bush Administration and their Useful Idiots in the Senate and Congress, think "Don Corleone" or "Scarface" and you're REEEEEEEEEEEEEAL close to the target.
