The food, service and atmosphere is great. There are three locations now and we have visited each one. The food is more than just standard BBQ fare. Kids menu, salads and fish. Soup beans and fried taters. The side items alone make it worth the visit. Sweet potato cassarole..Yum. Homemade Peanut Butter Pie.... Good Lord!!!! Save room for this little masterpiece!

I thought Walt's was great. Friendly service, wide variety on the menu and the ribs fell off the bone. The sauce is applied by you and there are 3 different kinds. I even met Walt himself. He was very friendly with a great sense of humor, couldn't have asked for more!

We went as a family of 5. Prices weren't family friendly for the portions we got. Food didn't make much of an impression either. There's other places that are better. I'm not an expert but have previously lived in Kansas City for 10 years so eating BBQ has made an impression on me.
