Who knows? Everybody thought she was a dead duck after daddy appointed her to the Senate. She bare-knuckled and trounced her opponent. Alaskans gotta be tough cookies, so she will probably do ok.

Nepotism thy name is Murkowski. She'll be gone next election. There ought to be a law explicitly stating that you can't give your kids a senate seat as a birthday gift.
