Sorry, I just don't like it and certainly not in a once elegant neighbourhood like Notting Hill.

Best carnival I've been to in UK.. Can't come up to Vincy Carnival ( St Vincent) and Crop over or Trni Carnival.. But damn.. I dance for so.. Have the aches and pains in places I never knew about to show. I danced from 11 in the morning to 9 none stop to soca music behind Cocoyea truck.. Real good!

Saphire dk, correction, Trinidad has the 2nd largest carnival in the world, Nottinghill is fantastic,and incidentally it is a Caribbean festival, allthough there are some samba floats.

Aside from having to listen to a lot of music that I'm not big on and feeling squished in by huge crowds of people and losing my teenage son for 3 hours when he wandered off once, this is a great festival. I remember dancing with the steel band floats back in '81.

This is the second largest Carnival in the world.. (the largest being Rio De Janeiro)..its held in August every year, and the whole Notting Hill Area is turned into a samba dancing party..
