This rating is in answer to the ending comment made by papouliot. Athens in recent years has held the infamous block party, with little exception to previous years. It still remains a grey-area for city government, but that is changing. Every year, city council relaxes a bit more about the festivities, arrests remain low, and damage is minimal. It seems that what they tried to accomplish by legislation could have been easier done with acceptance. However, this year, Athens is going to explode in the Halloween season. A new group has come to town, and they plan on escalating that season to unheard of proportions in the Athens area. Creature Feature, a new convention that I have taken my username from, has settled on Athens being the site of their convention, and they're estimating a huge turnout. Their convention is the weekend before Halloween, which makes it just in time to whip the city in a frenzy just in time for the block party. I plan on being there, for one. I'd reccomend it to you, as well.
