11/07/2005 | Daytona is the whitest, hardest beach on the mainland. If you get up before sunup and drive down the beach as morning arrives, you'll never forget it... ever.
Take away the crime and the people then clean it up some and you got yourself a vacation spot.
Anyway, that's what I said the first time I was there 30 years ago.

02/10/2005 | My favorite since childhood. Daytona is just Daytona. Spring Break was always fun, driving/cruising on the beach, and Daytona International Speedway!!

11/28/2004 | Sand is so hard packed that cars are allowed to drive on the beach. Definitely not the best beach in the state. Daytona itself is extremely tacky. Skip this one.

07/30/2004 | Too crowded, too dirty, and not a particularly attractive beach to begin with. Add crime and a sprinkling of rednecks to the mix. There are better destinations.

06/23/2004 | NASCAR! This beach has a bunch of rednecks and a bunch of cars rolling around. A few times a year a bunch of high school chicks come by and flash their boobies and get wasted, that's kinda cool.

09/01/2003 | There is a lot of beach at Daytona, but the sand feels more like concrete. Daytona suffers from too many visitors in my opinion.
