The Best Japanese super car ever 2 enter the racing scene at the time. It dominated back then and 2day can give any R34 or RX 7 a run for itz money and what a lot of people forget is that at the time supra stopped production in 98 the R34 and RX 7 had just hit the scene so Supra cannot be compared on a fair level but has alwayz been compared showing itz true nature as Japanz best sports car.

At 77 the JZA80 with a Superchip and a K&N filter element is fast enough for me (and a danger to sheep in the quiet places I max it!). I was lucky enough to get a genuine low mileage one, and the build quality is very good indeed. Just a matter of keeping it dry.

The 2JZ-GTE was without a doubt the most well build/overengineered engine ever to come out of the Toyota plant (or any other plant for that matter). Those engines were and still are bulletproof. they are Cabable of handling 20 pounds of boost on twin turbos and 600-900 horsepower ON THE STOCK INTERNALS!! These modifications would EXPLODE any other engine they were put on EXCEPT the supras. Despite being overemasculated by the Fast and Furious movies, the supra is still the top car in japan as well as the entire world.(next to the Nissan Skyline of course)

This car was a credit to the automotive society. In addition to being well overbuilt (which contributed to reliability), the motor could make over 900 horsepower without internal modification. This was a wonderful car. I only hope its successor can live up to its reputation.
