 | ian (0) 08/01/2004 | used to have a gts turbo, and with a few mods here and there it was putting out just over 300 bhp, to get that performance these days you have to spend serious money

 | WildKard51 (1) 07/29/2004 | The 2nd Gen Turbo MR2 is a great performer. It has lines like an exotic but retains its Toyota dependability. The car will support modifications and engine swaps extremely well and in my opinion was the best MR2 ever created. The new MR2s are nothing compared to these supercars. I am surprised that Toyota would choose to go that direction with one of its best cars, but the new MR2 seems to sell ok. I wouldnt be caught dead in a new one but find me a used 2nd Gen MR2 Turbo and I'd be happy for a lifetime.
