11/29/2003 | The only Guru record I've ever heard/owned is Jazzmatazz, so my Gure frame of reference is a bit limited. I thought the live jazz/hip-hop hybrid was a great album concept, but for some reason the album lacked something. Perhaps more jazz, meaning solo breaks and jam sessions would have made it work better. I don't know. Jazzmatazz is certainly a good record, but I'm very hesitant to call it a great record. And for anyone who didn't already know, Guru provides the voice of 8-Ball in Grand Theft Auto 3.
