yo i've been skating the same ventures for about two years before the kingpin snapped and dude they were awesome. once you find a comfortable tightness you like never have to tighten them again. they grind frikin smooth and last frikin long. mine have been set on fire, drowned, bashed with a hammer and of course grinded lots and still lasted two years and kept great quality and never got crappy. i perfer mongoose trucks they go looooooose and i like lose trucks the are so light also and they turn and carve and the get a good base plate it helps me land my fakie iward heels amd the king pin in a mongosse truck do not break and are made out of 65 % super light titanium and talk about grinding they can graind so smoothly (never need to be waxed) and they are super strong yesterday me and my freinds went to skate the el toro and i did a switc 360 over it then i casper fliped it the i did a nollie big flip over the stair set on my mongoose trucks and they did not ene get any damage i have had my pair for 2 and a half years and my ventur trucks couldent even handel my whelie and when i was grinding a curba good 3 inch chunk came and broke of it sucked

venture is the worst truck brand. there hella heavy and the kingpin snapped on me the first ride. then i gave them a second shot and the kingpin kept falling out. thunder is highly reccomended. the new hollow kingpin that is light and durable. royals are good too.

Venture Trucks are pretty good, they last an average amount of time and grind pretty well. The kingpin is not the lowest but it doesn't matter all that much. One bad thing is that the bolt on the kingpin creeps looser and looser until it falls off, this has caused me a couple of bad falls which irritated me a lot! Overall though, they are good trucks and they are cheap usually.Plus, i got mine for free which makes it even better! I got them off Prizerebel, its a brilliant website, I've also had some Bones Reds off there and some shoe laces and more. You just fill in surveys and get points, then get prizes such as Ventures! Go to the link I'm going to give you if you want to sign up, you could get free prizes such as Ventures, just like I did!!(I am not lying to you, I've actually had a lot of free skate stuff off this site and I'm sharing it with you guys so i hope you take me seriously)http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=525039

venture trucks were the very first trucks I skated on, and they lasted a couple of years. the only thing I didn't like about them was they wore down too fast from grinding, and that's it. other than that, they are a good basic truck to start skating with.
isk8incircles 11/15/2008
not to great, two ppl i know broke the kingpin, and on my set an axle got bent.i recomend krux or indys
almostsk8r 11/13/2008

Classics everyone, classics. I rode venture trucks for about 3 years before switching to Independent and loved them. The only reason i didn't rock them for longer because the king pins used to snap easy but they've fixed that now and they're great. http://www.utilityboardsupply.com/get_list_203.htm

I have tk ventures freakn amazing so light i had the trucks for 3 years still perfect a must have
SkateRate 10/21/2008
some people think they are great, but they really aren't all that special. yeah they're light and stuff, but the metal is a bit soft, and they wear down pretty fast. i never really liked them, but they're ok.
Adam1859 07/25/2008
My Ventures are great they have lasted for aaages . They come in basically any color so you'll find a pair to suit your needs. They grind fantastically and turn so precisely. I would recommend these to a friend
sethy 06/16/2008

i ride with my trucks tight, and i have ventures i'v been skating on them for like 4 or 5 months and they rubber thing it twists on is all messed up. it like dosn't get tight anymore and sometimes the bolt falls off and i fall on my face other than that, their pretty good
SkaterDude7 05/12/2008
ok but grind through quickly

The Ventures I have are of a low profile which makes it great for street skating. Venture has a sleek design but for some reason they feel heavier than many other brands of trucks. They thus fall somewhere in the middle of the pack of professional level skateboard trucks.

I've been skateing for about 6 months and I've tried a couple of truck brands but these are the best. One time I decided to try Ventures and compare them to Thunders( they are pretty good) and I was amazed at the fact that Ventures performed and feel lighter than Thunders!(I was comparing the Venture super lights ang the thunder lights) So now I'm phyced on Venture.

Ventures have always appealed to me ever since I began skating (old school Danny Montoya) but after my first pair of them, I wouldn't buy them again. Yes, while they look cool and different from most others/and they've been around for a long time too, they just don't hold up. The one thing I liked about them, was that they were heat-treated like my old Independents (which makes them heavier -more density- but makes for a smooth ass grind) and had their baseplate cut up for a little added weight loss. Well, while they do grind great new, if youre like me, or most the skating population, you ride "medium" and torque the kingpin nut to the "average" setting, showing several kingpin threads atop. For me, the purple stock bushings were just too soft and created far too many hagups on smiths. While the bushings can easily be replaced with Doh-Doh's or something, the axles tendency to slip prematurely via primo thrashing/landings ended my ties with Venture quickly. BOTTOM LINE: they aren't descernably lighter than others, their bushings are a tad too soft, and the axles can slip early on if faced with a lot of abuse, but grind like any other heat-treated truck; i.e. Independent/Krux (both made by NHS).

venture are awesome super light last long, and for you who say they suck they dont its just because they are made to be tight not loose thats why wen people ride them the king pin falls out. anyways ventures are pwnage!!!!!!
9spitfire 06/12/2007
i think ventures last long but are sooooooooo heavy i borred my frieds deck (he has grind kings) i was so supprized at how much lighter it was i ollied 3 decks on it and i can only ollie 1 with ventures so im gonna give em a 1
vendetta1393 03/23/2007
Ventures are ok I had mine for about a week or two and the bolt for the kingspin kept on coming loose. And another bad thing is that the kingspin is to high. i can't even 50-50 with them. But with new Kingspins, bushings, and mabey a few modifacations they can be pretty good trucks.
juanriv 02/20/2007
i had venture trucks and they weighed my boards down so much, they always seemed bulky ,my royals are lighter nd they arent light either, i think that silver trucks are the best
Dav2121 12/18/2006
I like my venture trucks and recommend them for there durability, weight and sometimes there good price. Depending on the store you get the at
phantom903 11/26/2006

JoeSkate 08/06/2006
Great trucks! They get krooked a lot easier that some, but they grind smoother and are lighter, yet still very strong.
volcom428 07/09/2006

Thses trucks are great. I just got venture superlights today and there not nearly as heavy as my old destructos. Nothing against destructos but their just way to heavy. i would definatley recommend these trucks.
Emericarules 05/20/2005
Venture trucks are the best out theyre those or infependents depending onh wut u want. Vebtures r light and durable and grind smooth my ventures have lasted me about 1 year and i still p[lan on using them 4 a long time.
jaysix 04/21/2005
Ventures, indys or thunders are the only trucks that matter. The others are for posers
