Cosmetology 2

Currently enrolled in a school for cosmetology I have to make a point I had recently discovered on the idea of what majority people think about students in these programs.

Just about to graduate high school I will never forget my advisor giving me the look of disappointment when I had told her that my dream was to become a professional hair stylist. It really put a downer on my "career of choice" for almost my whole life with just that look.

The hair industry isn't just for "chicks" and I haven't a clue where small Suvs came into play but for a male of female who is passionate for creating beautiful hair, make-up, nails, and relaxing facials. It's not just a field where they just hand you a bottle of peroxide and a pair of shears and let you loose!

It's a career where you have to get so many hours to get licensed. You have to learn the angle of projection in which to cut the hair or the right volume of developer to mix with the dye. Same goes for Nails and Ethicians.

I always had thought of it as an art and am finally accomplishing what I love to do. Just to be able to pamper another with your creativity as well as seeing the outcome of what YOU had made.

When a person walks out of the salon with a smile on there face because they know they look good is self payment in itself.

In response... Yes it trains but it also opens many doors for both men and women to live out their dreams doing what they love. How many individuals can honestly say that?
