hey ive been skating these trucks for 4 monthss and there the shit of trucks even know they have the crapiest bushings i dont know why everybody complains so much instead of bitchin about them go and buy some do dos and dont blame there awsome product. they turn awsome and they last hella long. i ride my trucks so tite that u cant even turn the allen wrench. and all u have to do is buy some new bushings and they are rock solid tight. grind kings in my opinion are the best trucks ive ever ridden on. there the lightest trucks on the market and are just absolutly amazing. and for people who bitch about the bushings its a easy task, just go to a skate shop and buy do dos there like 4 bucks each. so dont hate them cause they have they have crappy bushings just go and buy some new ones and youll be happy.

im only gonna say one thing and its my personal opinion. theyre terrible. worst trucks i ever rode they come with the shitties bushings that tear super fucking easy and whoever came up with the idea that we should put and allen wrench adjust kingpin with a size that doesnt come with a lot of skate tools and a standard allen wrench set is a fucking idiot. wasted 50 fucking dollars on it. i know skateboarding is about personal opinions but i like my silvers way better and cost a lot less atleast at my skateshop.

get some if you dont like heavy trucks
moaher22 05/21/2008
had 2 pairs. bent the axel on one and snaped the kingpin in 3 days on the other. they are light, but the kingpin always comes loose, and not durable at all.

well, the grindkings are sick anyways. the king pin is sweet cuz its good for people like me that like real loose trucks cuz they kingpin has like unlimited losseness to it. the base is really uniqe and the hollowed out part makes it super light and its durable. there designing is really good. no one else really has decorative trucks like GK does, represent.

This truck has a very unique baseplate design and a high hanger perfect for grinding. So high is the hanger I would assume that would add weight to the product. But surprisingly, this is one of the lightest trucks on the market.

*NEW INFORMATION REGARDING INVERTED KINGPINS~READ!* Wow guys, I had lunch yesterday with my father (retired structural engineer) and his two closest friends (both engineers, and one also a construction project manager) and got THE LOWDOWN on why inverted kingpins are vastly inferior to regular kingpins, with the nuts fastened to the top! I was so surprised by what they had to say, but it all made perfect sense after hearing them out, so here it is guys... They all said that, when viewing inverted kingpins on both the Grind King & Krux Downlow, they shook their heads and exclaimed that while they might prove as a better "grinding angled designs" their structural intergrity is greatly compromised, with the trucks basic and most important functioning in mind (turning and downforce impacting), due to fact that the baseplate's turning geometry is loaded onto the NUT, rather than a fixed bolt head. They went onto saying that designs like this just wouldn't cut it in their line of work, building off-shore oil platforms, buildings, bridges ect., because it just wouldn't be safe; nor would it be easier to make or repair. It made me laugh when one of guys told me that if skyscrappers and lightposts were designed like these trucks, people would be "dying left and right" because when the structures needed to flex with the wind or of impacts/earthquakes, they would simply be "un-screwing themselves from the ground!" This is why Grind King's are notorious for perpetually getting loose/ and why they snap so easily. They break not only because they start getting loose right way, but mostly because your weights impacted on the PLASTIC linning of the nut inside the baseplate! "This simple fact cannot be redesigned to overcome this simple engineering fault...nuts go on the top of properly fastened structures...just look at your nearest intersection's lightposts next time, and see that their nuts are on the outside- if they weren't, falling polls would be killing motorists everywhere." So there you go guys, hope this helps you in deciding what trucks to buy- it did for me! (LOL)

I love my Grind Kings. My friend and i both have some. My friend rides them a certain way. he likes one truck tighter thant the other and one truck just weird. but i like mine loose and turn smoothly. They grind really well they don't slip when u are grinding. The best part about these trucks is that the kingspin is an allen head(hex) and that means that they are super super low. I can do smith grinds and feebles and overcrooks since they are so low. Overall these are the best trucks I that i have ever had.

Overall they are good trucks, although I much perfer Ventures. Mine had a phillips slot for adjusting tension, which strips and gets banged up. This is the biggest setback.

how high_676 04/07/2004
they are super light.i had mine for 3 weeks and they work fine except for the bushings...they smush left and right over the truck when you tighten them...but other than that theyre awesome.get them while you can, just get doh doh's er sumthin.
Fu_Q 05/19/2003
awsome, prtty light had mine for 3 years still workin perfectly
kheetar 05/05/2003
The grind kings are very light and you don't have to worry about your bolt getting locked up during grinds. If you want to change your bushings--I've found that with both Doh Doh's and the stock bushings I have to tighten the bolt a lot before its comfortable--you have to take the truck off the board. I don't like the way these trucks turn. They turn too quick, and it's only when I've tightened the bushing down till its smooshing out of the truck that I feel comfortabe on it. Overall these trucks are good, but so far not the best out there. I'll try Ruckus Lows next.
