 | super1 (0) 06/29/2008 | Securitas is so unorganized, leaving post in the dark and blaming it on the security officers. After you meet with the Bookkepper/Scheduler who never gives you a permanent fulltime schedule. You'll get a phone call every other day to cover someones shift who's called off what a bunch a bullshit.

 | CrimsonKing (0) 06/14/2008 | Securitas should change their name to SECURITEMP as they hire virtually anyone, and everyone,BUT,they hardly have any full time, permanent posts! Oh gee..um..you say you want a "FULL" 40 hour "PERMANENT" schedule?..well..um DUUHHH,I "THINK" we may have a tentative, temporary part time position comming up!LOL! Hey,wait a minute,..what's that?..we can give you 20 hours, and then "FLOAT" you for the other 20 hours MAYBE??.Oh,please excuse the fact that we're still NOT going to pay you accurately,or on time! RE-GOD-DAMN-DICULOUS is the only way to describe Securitas! Oh,I forgot,if you don't complain, and do a good job,you can win a "BRAND NEW CAR!!..please insert that Roddy announcer fella's voice from the price is right show!lol" What they should say is that for the "OUTSTANDING" employee of the year, you can win a "FULL TIME SCHEDULE".I swear,I've never REGRETTED filling out a job application more than I have with Securitas!

 | DUCKEY07 (0) 04/05/2008 | I DON'T KNOW WHY IS IT, THAT IF SECURITAS IS SUCH A BIG COMPANY....THEY CANT TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES GOOD...ALL OF MANAGEMENT ARE FULL OF SHIT AND LIARS. I HAD THE 6A TO 2P SCHEDULE AND MY SCHEDULER CALL ME 1 MORNING ASKING ME OF I WOULD LIKE TO BE BACK OU LEAD OFR GRAVE YARDS. WITHOUT EVEN THINKING ABOUT I I SAID YES. BUT BEFORE HANGING UP HE TELL ME DONT TELL ANY 1 UNTIL U MOVE. I WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS ABOUT HE WOULD TELL ME THAT SO THE NEXT MORNING I SPOKE TO THE SITE SUPERVISOR AND ASKED HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON AND HE ONLY SAID DNT WORRY ABOUT IT IT'S ALL BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. MY CO-WORKERS KEPT TELLING ME NOT TO GO AND THAT THEY WERE ONLY LIYING TO ME. SO I CALLED THE ACCOUNT MANANGER AND ASKED HIM IF IT WAS TRUE ABOUT THE POSSITION AND HE SAID " WELL IT IS BUT U HAVE TO EARN IT, WE NEE TO TLKT TO THE NITE LEAD TO SEE IF SHE WANTS U AS A BACK UP LEAD" SO I TOLD HIM I DNT WANT TO MOVE IF IT'S NOT FOR SURE AND HE TOLD ME WELL IT'S TO LATE NOW. BUT U GOT A WWEK OT FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GO IF U DNT LIKEM THE CHANGE. NOT ONLY THAT BUT WITHING MINUTES OF ME SAYING TES THE HAD MY REMPLACEMENT. I KNOW WE ALL HACE COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS COPANY BU UNLESS WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE IT, IT'LL STAY LIKE THAT FOR MAY MORE YEARS TO COME. SECURITAS GET PAID GOOD $ FOR US AND STILL WE'RE GATTING PAID LESS THEN OTHER COMPANIES. THEIR SO UNGREATFUL AND FULL OF SHIT, THAT THEIR ONLY LOOKING AFTER THEMSELF.

 | AlbertSeesU (0) 02/12/2008 | Continued from below:
I thought that sounded great and to help him and the client out, I'd be glad to do what was needed. About a week and a half later another guard is sent out to the site who I train and one who actually wants to be there. After showing him the hotel procedures and other do's and don'ts, and training him over the course of the night, I go home. Phil calls me at 7 pm again asking if I'd be willing to return again one more night and to observe this new guy to make sure he has it all down pat. I said of course I would. After that we spoke about new job sites again and how he was looking for something that would work well for me. I told him I would be as flexible as I could be and work weekends on another site, 10s, 12s, whatever is needed. I returned back the following night and watched the new guard again. All went well. I went home thinking my supervisor was doing his best to find me a new post. I waited for a week and then called only to be told he was in a meeting. When I called again a couple of days later I was told the same. He would now not take my calls, return my calls or answer work emails on a new post. In essence I was let go without him telling me that I had been. And to think I had faith in this guy and genuinely thought he would keep his end of the bargain and honor his end of the agreement after I upheld mine. Once bitten, twice shy. If you get a good supervisor and/or client site you should be alright but with Securitas, the house, like a real casino, usually is the winner.

 | xer0s (1) 02/11/2008 | What happened, well they sent me somewhere high profile, I was having real trouble turning up on time, often arriving 8 to 10 minutes late for my shift, which caused the guy I was coming down to re-leave to get very angry, so one day I walked in the door and the guy had a right go at me and bundled me into a corner under a pile of flying fists and kicks.
Then when I called my Boss about it and threatened to quit, he came down to have a "Meeting!" sat in a chair and roared in my face "YOU WANTED THE JOB!"
How sympathetic, anyway, I got my transfer to somewhere a little more local, expected to turn up on time, but once again it was out in the sticks, no buses or transport to get there.
Then when I was working there one of the night shift officers, turns out he liked men, sat there and began insisting I should sit on his lap and give him a kiss and a cuddle.
Ever tried to run away from a 12 stone big guy who quote "likes you!"
Shortly after that I requested yet again another transfer, they started sending me all over the inner parts of the city of London, then had a raging go at me when I failed to turn up on time or neglected to turn up at all. I don't know how they expect people to even get to the job when they neglect to pay the staff half the time and you have to be a math wizard to read your pay-slip.
Had a complete nervous breakdown one day, seeing pink elephants and mumbling about hoodies smashing my face in, which had happened I had had my nose broken and a knock on the head does funny things to people, especially when they haven't slept well in days from leaving the house really early at around 4.30 to 5.30 am every morning arriving home at around 1.30 to 2.30 every night.
Not to mention the starvation of not being being able to eat coupled with the stress of not being able to pay my rent on time.
Then when I left I wrote them scathing email, full of profanity, wise? probably not, because this same firm have now sat there for the last 6 years slandering me very badly to any prospective employer that's called and asked for a reference, how do I know that? Well employers have had the good grace to ask before they've taken me under employment, once I explained the situation to them they have been sympathetic, this company might well scream he cant say all that it's in violation of his confidentiality clause but what a shame they don't have the common curtsy to remember that while a member of their own staff in management is sitting there slandering my every job application.
Tyrant, yes they are!
I think we should all hold them to account over the fact they employ some of us in government funded work, then fail to pay us correctly or on time and unfortunatly for securitas that is a serious offence.
I don't expect to pay TAXES on my income twice, thank you very much!
Oh and I'm still unemplyed, homeless, jobless, pennyless.
Its all the hard working people who are working for them that are paying my benefits.
Do not put them on your CV.
Oh and go here http://www.ripoffreport.com/ and type in securitas and take a long hard look for yourself!

 | dstrange79 (0) 02/10/2008 | So I posted here about 2 1/2 years ago stating that overall the screening process and branch management could use a bit of help. With that I still agree and at least in my 'area' are working to correct the deficiencies. I am still happy with the company (4 1/2 years) and have been treated farily and respectfully. I started as a flex officer and worked, I mean worked my way into now managing 32 officers for a high profile client. Most officers that 'pass through' don't really understand contract security and what that acutally intails however the majority of my officers do understand and accept the profession that they have either chosen or are currently working in.
The thing that completly gets me is the officers that don't want to or complain about working crazy shifts... IT'S CONTRACT SECURITY... I have noticed that a lot of you on here have been 're-assigned' or terminated from the company... I would probably have harsh feelings too. Go get another security job and see if it treats you any better. Best of luch to all that work in the industry, it's a fight worth fighting to make the industry more of a profession...

 | Bfry38 (0) 01/21/2008 | I agree with almost everyone on this site. Securitas SUCKS!! They do promise you things that never happen, they lie, they treat you like crap. Im from Ohio and worked out of the Hilliard branch. I dont care who sees this, or anything. My girlfriend was sick In the hospital Im doing 12 hour shifts. I get a call the night before and Im nice and take care of it for like 2 weeks. No I did not want to work 12 hours, but I did sometimes 13!!! Anyways I did that then I get a call up for this job at Sams club checking people in and out making sure they aren't stealing anything from there. I had to sit in this chair for 8 hours, or longer with nothing to do!! This guys name was Byron Stuly never forget this guy the biggest ass hole! you will ever meet in your life!! He was the boss there which was over me, and everyone else. He had you sit in this chair for like I said 8 hours or more a steel chair, couldn't walk outside, and he even had to tell you when to use the restroom. Talk about getting treated bad. I was around there one day and I wanted to find him I was going to hit him as hard as I could. I wish he would read this and we could meet. Im not trying to sound like a bad ass but this guy put me through hell. I bet you none of the people in hilliard, or anywhere else would put up with this! So after that day I called up said I wanted something else, and they said turn in your clothes we have offered you 3 other sites, and they didn't work out. So I turned in my clothes. I could write a book about this suck ass company, heres another one. I work with this black guy he doesn't show up in uniform which I know is mandatory he should like everyone else including me, but they fire him for it. Now get this I work at another site and this guy is slower, I guess you would say which is fine to hire people like that nothing wrong with that. He shows up in jeans, and 30 minutes late to work everyday Im working some of his shift hes getting paid for it, and nothing ever happens to him, and the other guy I worked with showed up in shorts almost everyday cause it was hot. I wore my black pants and black socks, but oh well If they read this they can call me I would love to leave my number on here for them, but to many people is on the internet getting numbers. If they come across this they can call me, I would love to talk to them. I will even let them know that Brett was the one that wrote this! and yes it was Mary Clemens that got rid of me Thank you Mary you just did me a favor lol!!!

 | sec1blows (0) 01/10/2008 | Securitas is a tyrant feeding on the backs of its employees. They promote based on brown nosing or tenure. Ability is not a consideration. We are constantly lied to by "management". Upper management is as inept as the worst gaurds you've ever encountered. No performance evaluations or raises after 1 1/2 years is not right.
WE NEED TO UNIONIZE! That'll give them a brain fart if we come to work, wait an hour and then strike!

 | CrimsonKing64 (0) 12/08/2007 | After working here for approximately 1.5 years,I have discovered that Securitas security here in Los Angeles only epitomizes the fact that bigger definitely does not mean "BETTER" Securitas is just another B.S security company that talks good while walking bad! Securitas being as big as it is only allow them to treat their supposedly "VALUED" employees like pennies on the ground! They figure they can do this because they know that for every disgruntled employee that quits, another desperate, ignorant, masochistic, yet well meaning slob is on his way in to fill out an application that they can use, abuse, shortchange his check, make him feel like a lousy, lazy, good for nothing bum for not taking whatever garbage they throw at him, totally disrespect, cheat, lie to,and the fool will eat it all up,burp, and ask for seconds! In fact, I think it's very hard to "NOT" be hired by securitas as if you can qualify for a guard card from the state, "YOU'RE HIRED!!" I've seen some of the most degenerated people in the world come in and get hired right away! They seem to really get a kick out of doing this!, as though they purposely want to piss you off so that you'll leave and they'll save money somehow! If you don't start out as a supervisor, it's going to be hard as hell to become one!,even if you devote your whole life to them similar to the way christians devote themselves to god!lol, therefore creating virtually a dead end situation for yourself.Besides, it's REALLY hard to prove that you do such a good job that goes far above and beyond what other security officers are doing thus qualifying you for such position, which is usually bent over!lol It's "ALOT" easier to get into the upper echelons of securitas if you've spent twenty or so years in the military!,or/and retired from some law enforcement agency. If you "EVER" become a site supervisor, usually you are just everyone's "FALL GUY", which means they pay you a little more money, give you a little more authority, virtually take control of your life, and "CHEW YOUR ASS OUT" continually whenever something goes wrong, or, if the client isn't "HAPPY" with the way things are going!,or when their petty b.s. desires aren't granted! Being an entry leveled supervisor for securitas will require 3 things from you 1)Alot of ADVIL!, 2)Lots of Maalox, or Pepto Bismol, 3)A good, nice sturdy pair of KNEEPADS!,as you're definitely going to be on your knees alot! Surely here in los angeles, the pay starts out at $8 per hour, but, what's it really worth if your check is continually wrong? For all of you little gung-ho, workaholic brainy types out here thinking to yourselves "Gee, I'm really going to dig in and work 80 + hours this week", please don't think that securitas is going to pay you 40 hours extra at time and a half wage all at the same time, or EVER! They will conveniently "LOSE" those hours somewhere, and make you fill out a payroll discrepancy form, which is a joke in itself!, and promise to make it up to you!...Good luck in getting it!lol I've always wondered, if the payroll discrepancy is truly a MISTAKE, then why doesn't the mistake ever result in you receiving more money? It seems to me that somebody's in control of these so-called payroll mistakes doesn't it? So,you ask, what kind of person makes for an ideal securitas employee? 1)Someone that doesn't have any type of social life!, therefore available to give their lives to securitas to work anytime, anyplace! 2)Someone that has a low self esteem and doesn't mind being lied to,used, kicked around, disrespected, abused, cheated, or mistreated! 3)Someone that doesn't have any "REAL" bills to pay!,or mouths to feed!,so,it really doesn't matter much that they get paid decently or accurately! 4)Someone that willing to kiss "ALOT" of butt just to get nothing in return! So,please don't believe the hype about securitas being number one, or the largest, or best because they definitely do not live up to their words!

 | johnjohnleprechaun (0) 12/06/2007 | I have been working for Securitas for over a year now. I hate the company and am sick of the rude, uneducated, incompetent and arrogant upper management. I myself am supervisor and have been at many different sits and in two different states in New England. I was promised many different benefits that I have never received and will not receive. Certain benefits are only for salary employees and employees who work in the HR offices. So the guy who speaks as much English as my 2 year old son and sorts out the mail gets college money but I do not! WTF! And for the guy who said that this is Contract Security and if you dont like it then dont do it open your eyes. I have heard stories about this company for people is 7 different states and overseas and its all the same thing. I am former military and I am so ashamed to tell people I work for Securitas. I finally nabbed a good spot with halfway decent pay. Now I just have to put up with my paychecks being consistently wrong and keep reminding my boss that he is my boss. Oh yeah and just think, a lot of the people hired by Securitas are degenerate losers who have almost no education and could never survive in the American working world unless they sat behind a desk in the middle of the night when no one can see them, are the people that eventually move up to upper management. Yep thats right; our bosses were those idiots 5 to 10 years ago. Well at least the company is consistent!

 | timr1271 (0) 07/26/2007 | It's obvious from the majority of the posts on here that most of the posters have no clue about how contracted security works.
First of all, it's CONTRACTED - hence the title "contracted security" (amazing how that works, isn't it?). A contract can be terminated at any time for any reason by the client or the security company (in this case, Securitas). It's the nature of the beast. If you don't like that or can't handle that, you're free to go to work somewhere else.
Second, the nature of security contracts is that almost all elements have to be agreed upon by both the client and Securitas. This could be anything from whether you are armed or not to how many hours of coverage are provided and whether or not the site gets a vehicle, etc. Securitas has some control over this - they can suggest options - but the ultimate decision rests with the client.
Third, you're not going to get paid at the same rate Securitas bills the client. If you're making $8 / hr, Securitas is probably billing around $14 / hr. Where does the extra $6 go? Have you ever checked the insurance fees for private security? I have. They're astronomical...and even worse if it's for armed security. And where do you think the money comes from to pay the office staff?
I see several complaints about getting hired for one position (location and / or shift), only to get moved to a different location / shift. Again, if you had half a clue about private security, you would realize this is just the nature of the beast. Clients change what they want from private security quite often. Shifts and hours get changed and rearranged all the time. What you got hired for this morning...might be dropped at the client's request this afternoon. It's the nature of the beast. If you can't handle it, don't work security!
All that being said...
I've worked for Securitas for just about a month now. They're the second private security company I've worked for. They hired me for a specific shift at a specific site...and they delivered on their promises. Because of my experience, my knowledge, my skills, and my motivation, they're already moving me up in hours and pay and have placed me on the short list to become a supervisor. I'm not a brown-noser and I'm not a little cry-baby who whines about how unfair they treat me - I understand how private security works and I can handle it. (Funny how that hard work, demonstrated skils and knowledge, and lack of complaining leads to more hours / pay / responsibility thing works, isn't it?)
My experience with Securitas has been worthy of a 5-star rating!

 | eric5906 (0) 07/23/2007 | I worked for them here in s.Calif. about 6 yrs ago. They took over for Pinkerton/aka 'Stinkerton', another sucked up company. I remember how the Los Angeles area offices were loosing old clients, left and right. They lost Universal Studios about 5 minutes after they took it over, a very old account. They started taking bids from motels and bars in the sleazy part of town. I worked at this god awful wherehouse, in the middle of nowhere: you had to walk around for the full 8 hours, rain or shine, day or night. There was no guard post, no place to rest. They canned me and another guard for 'not doing our job', whatever that meant. I found out they were bidding it for around $14/hr and paying us about $8/hr. I was actually relieved when they got rid of me, I went out to celebrate not having to drive out there to the shitty job.

 | none4me123 (0) 07/15/2007 | This company is absolutely the worst. I have only been working there for a few months now, but I just can't get by on the hours they are giving me. Most of the shifts they start you out at are very long shifts that run deep into the night/early morning. My last shift I worked was 8pm to 8am and my previous location I worked 9pm-4am. The problem though is that these posts are usually temporary. You will more than likely be a floater and will be in the same boat as I am. One guy I talked to told me it took a year for him to get a permanent post. One time they told me I would be working at this place, but they wern't sure where it was. They only told me to show up to the branch office and the supervisor will drive down with me. Long story short, it was a two hour drive out to the boonies. We were about 10 miles from the state border and I live pretty much in the middle of Ohio. They had me guard these trucks because some guy got layed off and threatened to blow up some trucks and whatnot. Securitas being the wonderful company they are leave me alone with no backup or a weapon to sit alone in the middle of nowhere for the 4-midnight shift. Then I was expected to make the 2 hour drive home and be ready to do it all again the next day for about a week. Granted many people have it a lot worse, but I'm a college kid who is just trying to earn some money in the summer. When you factor in gas and expenses, that takes a chunk out of your paycheck. Gas is another thing they are not good about. They usually only offer about 1-2 dollars in addition to your pay for gas and that's only if you have a post that requires you to patrol in a vehicle. The final thing that pushed me over the edge and made me begin my search for new employment was the fact that it took my boss 5 days to get back to me with my work schedule. This was after waiting a week without calling her and expecting her to do the right thing. So she calls me at 8pm to try and get me to fill in for someone for a 9pm shift. I didn't answer my phone because I was on my way home to attend a going away party for a friend. So the next day and she calls me twice and also calls my home phone twice saying that she tried calling me two days in a row and she is not pleased. This is of course after I waited about 2 weeks to get a work schedule, she decides to get bent out of shape of two days. I decided i'd wait a little longer, because now I have no intention of working for this company anymore but I finally called her back and it rang through to her voicemail which i found odd because about 20 minutes early she was moving the earth to find me, but now she's too busy to pick up. So it has been two days since I returned her call and she has yet to call me with this work schedule that probably consisted of 2 days of graveyard shifts. My basic point is that securitas sucks. no one should be able to write a small book on why the company they work for sucks. I will not be returning to work. If you want a 9-5 job with solid pay then this is not the job for you. If you want a job that gives you maybe between 10-25 hours a week with varying pay then Securitas is right for you. The final two things that I would like to say is that pay rate for securitas varies from site to site. You may make 9 bucks one place and minimum at another. They are very sneaky when it comes to the low paying jobs. They give you the bare minimum on details and play dumb on just about everything. The other thing is that I am a full time employee and last week I worked ZERO hours. I am not on vacation, I've been waiting for my boss to call. The previous week I worked 12 hours in one day and that day was July 4th. Securitas sucks

 | adamshaye (0) 05/02/2007 | This company is just god awful. They have this moron named Dale Champ working at their center in Springfield, NJ who I had been dealing with for over a month. I went through two interviews to get hired. They promised me a certain shift (4pm-12am) and then they suddenly UNDERCUT THE POSITION OUT FROM UNDER ME!! So at this point I was pissed, and told him I would not take any other position because he already promised this to me. He kept repeating back to me "but you said you can work other shifts" because they had this 12am-8am shift open. He repeated several times to me "That's not a big deal is it? You never said you couldn't work then, I don't understand what your difficulty is". That's not even the same shifts, and I said I was available to COVER other shifts should it arise I NEVER ONCE said I was willing to work that graveyard shift. I didn't like his attitude about it. Besides, it doesn't change the fact that HE PROMISED a shift to me and suddenly TOOK IT AWAY!! Ok, fine, I had put that company out of my mind because this was just ridiculous. Then he calls me back a week later saying "change of plans, the person whom was going to take that shift now is suddenly moving so it's available again." I was like OK, well, I already went through this hassel but I needed a job anyway so what the hell i'll take it. Next day, calls me back "Uhh it's not guaranteed uhh can you wait another day so I can clear this up with the other person, she might be working it again" Ok, so then I thought to myself: AM I GETTING IT OR NOT? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? So next day apparently it was all cleared "Yeah it's free" So i did the registering with state police ($75 dollars to register initially with NJ police) and then I got scheduled to goto their training in jersey city, only for him to give me BAD INFORMATION! He would not tell me the building name, gave me an address and told me that I had to use mapquest to get there (which is fine but he FAILED TO TELL ME ABOUT THE TRAIN STATION THERE WHEN I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANY TRAINS LEADING TO THERE!) and gave me a phone number but NO ONE ANSWERED IT WHEN I CALLED! TWICE!. This made me wind up getting lost in that damn city for nearly TWO HOURS!! I spoke to him the next day over the phone telling him how unhappy I was with how things turned out and he kept repeating my words back to me being extremely condescending and rude. At this point I had to stop him from insulting me and explain to him that I KNOW WHAT I SAID BUT THAT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOU GAVE ME BAD INFORMATION AND ENDED UP COSTING ME A LOT OF MONEY FOR NOTHING!! He wouldn't let it got; He wouldn't even let me speak he kept saying it was all my fault and was a completely rude asshole. I was so disguisted by this whole ordeal I simply hung up on him before I really lost my cool. I actually regret not being a lot more forceful with him; I don't feel he deserved me being professional with him after all his rudeness and lies. This company is _COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL_! Do not EVER attempt to get employed by them. This has been nothing but hell and cost me unnecessary money and time. _NEVER_ will I _EVER_ attempt to work there again and neither should you.

 | zer012 (0) 02/16/2007 | Hi, let me start by saying that I completely agree with you. Securitas sucks. I've been with the company for 3 years, and have managed 3 seprate accounts. I understand that the guards have it rough, but the managers get it in the poop shoot from all sides. If the client doesn't like something, the site manager is blamed. If the guards don't like something, the site manager gets blamed. If the branch office doesn't like something, they tell the site manager that he doesn't do a good enough job despite the fact that he works double shifts every other day just to fill in for the branch office's lack of ability to fulfill their commitments to the client.
I wasn't home for a couple of phone calls (they REFUSED to give me a cell phone, their excuse was "I wasn't important enough") and the ONE weekend I went away (first time in over a year), there was a call out that i wasn't able to handle so they decided to remove me from management and site some crap they made up. I've been putting up with this crap since my first week, and I've finally had enough. I plan on going in Monday and telling them to shove it.
PS, if it were possible to give a negative rating, they'd get a -5 stars from me

 | ragederuin (0) 11/11/2006 | Doesn't even deserve a one, really. This company is awful. The only good part is that you might be one of those lucky people to never have a problem with them, and get a site that pays decently. Where should I begin?
1.) Their dispatch office is horrible. They hardly ever get back to you on anything, forget who you are and where you are, and when you are somewhere.. they have no sympathy for your situation.
2.) There is no cohesion in the entire company that I have seen. Everyone does things differently, and if you work for someone who tells you to do one thing, and it conflicts with post orders, there's a damned if you do and damned if ya don't approach to whatever happens... Fundamentally, you are a scapegoat for the client and the company both. YOU are who gets fucked if anything happens.
3.) I have seen MUCH better actual security at a goddamned dance club, and it was all ages there, so they had to be careful of what they do! And I'm sure they got more respect. Most places I've been, anybody who had half a brain could walk away with valuable things or info, if they paid attention.. and there's nothing the guards can usually do about it, with all the red tape and hullaballoo about rules and blah blah blah.
In summary.. DON'T WORK FOR THEM!

 | snybix (0) 08/03/2006 | It took them over a month to hire & train me, then it turns out that they hired me for a non-existant position! They are utterly incompetent.

 | Doc_R (0) 09/07/2005 | Yes, unfortunately, Securitas treats it's employees as someone would treat their dog, IF they didn't like their dog. I've worked for them for a number of years and I am on their persona non grata list. After they brought in a new patrol manager who promised the world but managed to get the patrol division disolved, I have no respect for them any longer. Now, I just do my job and go home. I've never seen more incompetence in a company. The head company does not have any kind of grasp of the people they have in the office. If you are ex-military, you can almost be assured of a management level position, since they are the only people they promote. What a great way to treat people. They have no clue as to how to treat people.

 | suckermonster (0) 09/06/2005 | no kidding they suck! i dont know about the screening but supervisor and all higher management are highly rude/mean! the turnover rate is high high high. labor laws suck around here so they can terminate at will if you dont slave slave slave. good luck to any current guards. its your ideal job if you have no life and must work 7 days a week 12hrs+/day
