A bug on the windshield of Canadian history, he held office for about ten minutes between Trudeau and Mulroney. Did absolutely nothing except run the second most disasterous election campaign in Canadian politics.

Turner had a lot of potential but had to pay for Trudeau's sins. Nobody was going to beat Mulroney when he sought his first term.

His short stay in office at a very difficult time in Canadian Politics probably probably overshadows the fact that Turner was a decent, honest man who cared deeply for the country. I suspect he could have done great things.
