He fills the same role that Herbert Hoover does in the USA.

 

Did about as good a job, too.

he did an ok job but fooled around with new policies and strategies for too long before finally deciding to go with the normal reasonings that the other power countries like the United States and Roosevelt's plans for him to really help us in the depression. he needed to be more decisive and in effect was not a pro to canada

Canada emerged from the Great Depression better than most countries. Despite the limited economic insight of the times, Bennett experimented with policies which were especially radical to the Conservative business tradition, and Bennett in effect created a national monetary system, and saved the private banking and business system of Canada.
