Bravo abichara1882- I couldn't have said it better myself. JFK taking responsibility for the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion even though he was not entirely at fault showed that he was willing to acknowledge when he made a mistake. As abichara1882 said, Kennedy adopted the orphan that was defeat at the Bay of Pigs, and it was the right thing to do. Ladyshark I beg of you that you do a little more research on the history of this invasion, and you'll find that Kennedy was not an orphan... indeed, in the case of the Bay of Pigs, the defeat was the result of the acts of many fathers.

You must be the orphan, JFK.

Very true, when something goes right, everyone takes the credit for it, but when something goes wrong, everyone walks away. The true test of leadership comes when someone chooses to adopt the orphan and take responsibility. Mistakes happen, find the solution. Thats the tough part...
