Yes I have done this, I collect toy figurines, happy meal toys and when I was a kid I loved to play with those Fisher-Price people. When I go to antique stores, if I can find the classic kind I buy them.

I know for sure I have bought things for my own children because they remind me of my childhood. Like certain candies like those candy bracelets,that you can eat. Or Silly Putty.or some other toy that was around whenI was a child. it is fun to get little things that are still being sold today that were around back in the 60s and 70s when I was a kid.
