Oh, dozens of times... actually so numerous I've lost count. I love novelties and conversation pieces! I found a little wooden box at a yard sale which said on top For the man who has nothing...; I pulled the lid up, and there was no inside, just the words: ... here's a box for him to keep it in. The thing wasn't worth a darn, but I got a big bang out of it, and I just had to get it!

Unfortunately, the thing broke and I had to throw it away. But it was cute while it lasted.

I have purchased items because I thought they were funny. I have Far side coffee mugs, and Calendars. A Bugs Bunny T-shirt that I found humorous, a keychain with the tazmanian devil, that shows his temper while driving because I thought it was funny. None of these things were expensive, but i get enjoyment form them.

This was my one and only reason for purchasing a little wind up toy called Sparkzilla...hey, he shoots little sparks out of his mouth when he walks. Humor is always a great reason to spend IMO.
