 | bibliophile (13) 10/15/2004 | FCA membership was mandatory for anyone wanting to play any sport when I was in high school. There was widespread drug/alcohol use among athletes. The idea was that exposing them to FCA values would reduce drug use. It did not. This just turned into a club of thugs and drugs. Anyone who wanted to score the best drugs knew exactly where to find them. I am sure the 3 earnest FCA members wished their club hadn't been wrecked.

 | Solenoid DH (20) 09/09/2003 | My suggestion is that Redoedo learn how to spell extra-curricular. (har har) Seriously, I have unpleasant memories of FCA. Where I went to high school, there were lots of thugs who were always cussing and starting fights and creating trouble. And it seemed that ALL of them belonged to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes!
