Charles G. Dawes (1925-1929 Under Coolidge) 4

Dawes was elected on November 5, 1924, Vice President on the Republican ticket with President Calvin Coolidge and was inaugurated March 4, 1925, for the term ending March 4, 1929. He had a distinguished career before he was elected vice president. He developed the Dawes Plan to help mitigate Germany's misery caused by the reparations from the Treaty of Versailles and won the Nobel Peace Prize for that work. He was a composer and even wrote a song recorded by such artists as Tommy Edwards, Van Morrison, Cliff Richard, and Elton John, "It's All in the Game," an adaptation of Dawes 1912 composition, "Melody in A Major."
