 | JohnG (0) 05/10/2006 | How anyone can give this man less than a 5 is beyond me. Unlike the pros, Russell could run up the points in college. He carried San Francisco to 2 championships and a 55 game winning streak. I might not be as impressed if he was at North Carolina, Indiana, or Kansas while doing this, but this is SAN FRANCISCO we are talking about here. What other history does this program have? He won with a bunch of role players (and Hall of Famer K.C. Jones, but Russell still won a title without him). I would say he's in the top 5 greatest college players of all time, along with Alcindor, Walton, Maravich, and I guess either Robertson or Laetner.

 | philip_nolan (0) 06/01/2003 | had a good point guard at USF--K.C. Jones, but won national championship twice. His individual greatness apparent even in an era focussed on the team concept

 | uncleroger (0) 03/26/2003 | The first great big man, offensively and, primarily, defensively. Top 5.
