He certainly did no harm,but was a long way from being a Great VP.The best thing about him was comic relief:his clumsiness provided the old Saturday Night Live cast with loads of material.

Ford took office at a time of national peril in the wake of Watergate. He made the right choice in pardoning Nixon, as he prevented the embarressment and the humiliation of a trial for our country.
