Jimmy Carter lite, and boring to boot! I can't believe what the Democrats saw in this guy!

Vice Pres. Mondale was a terrible VP. His absolute inability to comprehend foreign policy, the Soviet Union, and why the SALT treaty was a failure of their administration only became more obvious when he ran for President.

Mondale was a very active Vice President. He was one of Carter's closest advisers on both domestic and foreign policy. He traveled abroad numerous times representing Carter, and acted as Carter's spokesman on Capitol Hill.
