Very significant as VP since he was one of very few to serve two full terms in this role and was included in the inner circle by Pres. Reagan in key decision-making processes.

The best member of his family to ever serve as president, and the 42nd best president ever! History will probably rank him even higher than Jeb, our 45th prez.

This man was a class act as the veep.

You know if Reagan didn't choose Bush 41 as his running mate, we might not have had Bush 43 running the country today. How could Ronald Reagan do this to me?! HE RUINED MY LIFE!

One of our strongest Vice-Presidents. Mr. Bush was an invaluable assett to Ronald Reagan. In particular, George provided great strength in the area of foreign affairs. Some of you may remember that Mr. Bush had a short stint as Director of the CIA. Yes, George knew what was going on in the world.(I realize that I have opened myself up for some cutting remarks from some who would like to compare the Cold War era CIA that George headed up to the impotent CIA of today)

loyal caretaker as vp, i was greatly disappointed in his lackluster presidency.

Yes, I know he was dull. But he was also very loyal to Reagan during their 8 years together. Don't forget that Bush didn't have much of anything nice to say about Reagan in 1980 when he was running against him in the primaries. But at his own inauguration as President, Bush thanked Reagan in his speech for all that he (Reagan) had done for America.

He served ably and in fact Reagan ceded the Presidential powers to him for a brief period in 1985 while he underwent an operation. As Vice President, Bush was very active, with responsibility in several domestic areas, including Federal deregulation and anti-drug programs, and visited dozens of foreign countries.
