 | lateniteshopper (0) 08/06/2005 | I went in to an Indianapolis Speedway at 3am in the morning. There were two drunks giving the clerk and other customers a very hard time. The clerk maintained his composure even though he was being cussed out and threatened. He remained in control and difused a very difficult situation.

It was a great idea in an era of crappy gas prices. The store in our city has a great staff. However, i wish the city would patrol it once in a while. People dont need to be squealing tires, and blasting music. It can be pretty annoying.

 | exportman (0) 01/11/2005 | I went to the Speedway store located at 6058 Sission Road, Titusville, Florida on 1/11/05 to purchase gasoline. I used my debit card for the purchase and during the fill-up process, the pump stopped at $35.00. I went in to see what the trouble was with the pump and the clerk (Edna) was very negative and told me all the pumps stop at amount. I asked why and she responded with a very negative Why are you asking me questions that I can't answer?. I asked if there was a manager there to answer my question and she replied back that they don't need to answer my questions. I went back out to the pump to get my receipt and leave and the message bar said I should see the cashier for the receipt. The same clerk, even more negative this time, told me that I should not have gotten gas at that pump because it never gives receipts. I asked her why and she blew up at me telling me there was a BP across the street and I should take my business there. I told her if she would give me my receipt, I will do that. She was very mouthy as I left the store and there were at least eight customers there who looked shocked at her attitude. One customer's comment was that's customer friendly!. I have purchased gasoline and other products at this store for the last three years to the tune of approximately $90-$100 per week. I fill my vehicle up once per week and my wife's twice per week. I was not angry or upset when I approached Edna and she had no reason to verbally attack me in that manner. I can honestly say that your company has lost a dedicated customer at this location and the BP across the street has gained me as a customer.
Sincerely,
C. Wayne Ranow

 | kolby1973 (32) 09/26/2003 | Speedways are just too small and seedy in most of their stores I have been too. They are usually located in high traffic areas next to at least 3 other popular c-stores. And because of that reason, I usually don't stop cause there is something better !

 | CastleBee (81) 09/03/2003 | These are generally okay. Good place to grab a bottle of water or a soda. Their coffee is passable and a little less expensive - but not as good as BP. Ironically, I tend to buy gas here more often than BP since their prices are also consistently cheaper.
