When this moronic Intelligent Design law/decision/proclamation of the Kansas School Board is ruled unconstitutional in 16 to 24 months, this case will be mentioned somewhere in the majority or concurring opinion. "Intelligent Design" is simply the latest attempt by the religious nut-wing of the Republican Party to circumvent what has been the clear and consistent string of decisions from our nation's highest court. This has been going on for decades. There is a small but fervent hard core of true believers in our country who are more than willing to subvert the Federal Constitution and impose their feverishly held beliefs upon the rest of us who would prefer to be left alone by this group. Thank God for the rule of law.

I have no idea what you're talking about, President. Here in America we don't let our government establish religious practices or teachings. Teach biology in biology class and religion in religion class. What's wrong with that? When was the last time anyone went into a fundamentalist church and demanded that evolution should get equal time on the pulpit? This wasn't a Christian-secularist issue. Most American Christians accept the principle of evolution.

A good decision, but totally inconsistent. Introducing prayer is wrong in schools. But introducing evolution is right. This decision, like many before and since, seeks to undermine the people's right to practice Christianity. If an idea is put forth that IS Christian in nature, it is challenged. If a Christian doesn't give equal time to secular ideas, they get shot down once again. I'm not a Christian, but they are always getting the shaft in these decisions, and do not deserve the thinly-disguised attempts to put them down at every turn.
