The right decision was made here, as the only way to determine the extent that Richard Nixon was involved in the coverup was to listen to those tapes. Given that President Nixon used federal resources to make those tapes to begin with, those tapes were the property of the United States government, and the prosecuting attornies had every right to have access to them.
