I think they made the right decicion...there is no point in keeping her alive if she has no possibale way of coming out of it why let her suffer. We should provide medical care for the people who CAN survive. Even if they cant pay for it.

This case deserved to go all the way to the supreme court, you shouldnt have to suffer for all of your life just because some pencil pusher somewhere decided that you are incompetent. The right decision was eventually made.

I'm amazed that something like this could have gotten to the Supreme Court in the first place. Nobody should have to fight to refuse medical treatment or any other sort of handout. No means no.

The right decision was certainly made here. I definately would not want to be on life support for the rest of my life and my family and friends have to see my suffer. I do believe, however, that in order to prevent people from doing away with their relatives simply because they don't want to deal with them, that when citizens turn eighteen, if they desire, they can file papers stating that they would like the plug to be pulled under circumstances in which they can only live under life support.
