WinMX is horrible, do not download!!! Most of their review are written by Winmx staff, If you want the truth, stay away from this. It took forever for me to find out how to get my money back. If you are feeling the same as I am and want your money back call; 1-866-240-2481. Their not very friendly and they try and say your not in the system, Let them know your bank already verified the transaction (be sure they did) and get your money back. Please pass this to everyone who is unhappy with WinMX

WinMX is the best all around P2P (that I have tried) once one gets the system fine-tuned, and there are some very informative unofficial (of course) online help sites and forums. The software features searches by the most common bitrates, personal messages, chat rooms, multi-sources, automatic completion of incomplete files, multiple source folders, a bandwidth throttle to facilitate online multi-tasking, queuing controls, and about most anything necessary to tailor the utility to meet one's preferences. My only complaint is that the program has an old DOS feel as opposed to a more modern Windows feel though I'm sure there is a technical reason for this of which I am unaware.

It would be good if files actually downloaded. It's rare that they aren't queued.

i don't support illegal music download sites. if the RIAA catches you and slaps a lawsuit on you don't complain cuz it's your own damn fault.

Use to be good, but now sucks......Hard to get what you want using this program, alot of files you have to wait forever to get resorces for them......Kazaa Lite is the answer...

winmx is a great music community! I love it! I have found the rarest filkes there! I also like the fact it gives you tons of options and you can cut off the last 10K of the files in case you feel an ending of a song's too long and you want to get it quicker! that's cool!!! I highly recommend this for all you dialup users! I also like the fact that it has several options to maximize CPU performance within the app!Can preview songs while downloading. Also can resarch for results if file can't download. Also, another nice feature is the fact you can chat and do all the other things that you do in other music sites and also it has too many options that would take days to describe! It is very complicated so newbies may not get stuff right the first time, but you get the hang of it after a while! Great app!!! Huge varitety of options!!!
