12/19/2006 | In my opinion, not only was Leonardo da Vinci influential, I believe he was the greatest genius of all time. To justify this, many would argue about other figures like Newton and Galileo. I am not denying they were geniuses, but they were geniuses in only a few fields. Leonardo da Vinci was a genius in art, medicine, biology, botany, zoology, astronomy, engineering, military construction, hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, and many other fields. Can you identify anyone else in history on that level? The only person I can think of as a distance second would be the Egyptian genius Imhotep.
