Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury 5

I don't even think the Taliban, the Puritans, or the state of Utah could find any reason to ban this masterpiece. . .

I'd be curious to know who wanted to ban this. Book banners wanting rid of a book about book burners. There's the pot calling the kettle "grimy arse"

the second i saw this on the list i laughed out loud, as stanuzbeck said the irony is so obvious, probably not obvious enough for the idiots who banend this good book though.

Great book, and I know I'm only like the millionth person to point out the irony in banning a book that is itself about censorship.

This is one of the best books I've ever read, and I've read a LOT. An excellent expose of an alternate future in which firemen are responsible for burning books. Thought provoking stuff from one of the greatest pure storytellers to ever live.

A very intriguing book. One that makes you think. One that shows how censorship affects us negatively. One that also shows the darker side of human nature. Montag, the main character, is someone who many people can understand.
