I am not at all thrilled with Safeway in Phoenix. I have heard complaints about them in California before. LA hates them so much that I was told they changed their name. I cant remember the name right now it is something like van something. They complain about the produce and meat. The clerks can be very obtrusive. They seem to have been told to greet the customers and ask if they want help. I don't like the constant bothering. Also the cashiers try to repeat your name and won't stop it. I don't like that. I don't like that it seems to try to get just as much money as it can in markup and think that you won't notice. The quality of the take out food that I have eaten is terrible.
