People are desperate for hope, and they want answers NOW!, Well, our God of the universe does NOT work through Psychics, but HE did promise eternal life through Christ, to all that receive HIM as savior, and trust the Gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4) I understand the pain, and the hurt people go through, I do myself daily, but God requiers FAITH, and the just, the saved shall live by faith, I lost my friends in accidents, I lost my Mother, I go through daily despair, but we all are, and there is hope, and God has proved himself to me over and over, yes, I go through hard times too, but God always got me through, and yes there was some times I wanted to call a Psychic, go to a palm reader, but, I always backed off, because It is nothing more than a quick "so called fix", and lies I might add, and not of God. Besides, you have Agnostics calling Psychic Hotlines fake, I couldn't agree more! Some where there is truth, somewhere there is an answer, that answer is the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the only hope we have under the sun, as far as our loved ones that had died, If they were saved, then the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Satan is a master deceiver, and if he can get anyone away from the rock solid truth, he will, and he will use fantastic ways, and false promises through these "so called gifted people" like that ol fake Silvia on the Montel Williams show, this Woman is lying to them poor faithless people in the audience. Stay away from them all, and trust in the truth of God through Christ, the Bible is where the promises are, esp Romans - Philemon, (The Doctrine for the church, or the Body of believers)

Ridiculous nonsense designed to separate poor, deluded fools from money that could assuredly be better spent on rent or groceries or even a 6-pack or 2. Then again, no one puts a gun to anyone's head and forces them to call in. Miss Cleo is no more a crook, or less of one, than Robert Tilton or Peter Popoff or Oral Roberts's son with the Count Dracula haircut. They're all selling fantasy and escapism, and profiting enormously from it. In a world where people had some economic stability and security, some sense of a genuine future, there would be no need for religious fanatacism or fundamentalism of any stripe, be it Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, or whatever. You also wouldn't have any need for Miss Cleo or John Edward, the guy on TV who charges $300 for people to witness him contacting their dead relatives in the "Great Beyond" (I work with a less-than-bright woman who paid this amount for a ticket to one of his shows).

These hotlines are a great idea for the people who own them. They just help people spend money that would have otherwise been spent on bingo, tele evangelists and Doritos.
