I had about 50 of them, and who knows how many my little brother ended up with. I used to play with hot wheels cars all the time. When I was about 10 they were one of the few things I'd spend money on. I'd save up my money, and every couple of weeks I'd shell out the 79 cents or so and buy a new one.

I showed my nephews the joys of jump ramps.

I did love my Hot Wheels.There was such a variety of cars and hot rods to choose from.Of course,we also used to smack each other with pieces of the track...

This is a terrific listing. . .great collectible tactile toys- you could play with them, trade them, or keep them as collectibles. . .

I still have a few original first year models (wish I had kept them in the packages, but as kid how was I to know that they would become collectors items). Am a casual collector and like the fact that they are still generally under a dollar each. They are great toys. Am still amazed at the creativity that goes into original designs.

hot wheels and matchbox cars. still a nice inexpensive toy to buy for whoever likes them. I know of adults who still buy them for collecting. my son had them for years. they still look pretty nice and come out with new styles every year. and you get them for under a dollar. not too many toys out there you can say about that and still be nice for the cost.

I liked the old hot wheels sets where you had strip-style roads that you could make into any shape you chose, and roll the cars down hills and whatever. The new motorized race tracks are only so much fun, compared to those old ones.

Hot Wheels were always fun, especially with those little garage playsets.

I still collect Hot Wheels. I have about a good hundred still in the packages.

These were a potential hazzard to anybody walking through my room.
