The only sort of gun that was allowed as a toy was a water gun. Any other kind, I am against. I think it's wrong to play like you are killing your brother, mother, etc. EDIT: just seen the BB in front...lol well I don't like BB guns for kids either because I feel it isn't something a kid should be able to access without supervision. Knowing my husband, he would have let them go out and shoot whatever while I was at work.

I was the oldest of 3 boys, with 2 older sisters. My brothers and I all had bb-guns and when we graduated from playing Army with pretend guns (you know, POW! Gotcha! Count to 20! , we thought it might be more fun to play with bb-guns. It sure was a faster and more secretive game and it hurts when you get shot with one of them. Believe me. But we quit when my youngest brother (at age 10) got hit just above the eye one time, and although he was successful hiding the welt from our mother, we looked at it and thought, wow, that was close. It was the first time I ever shared a chill with someone, we all felt it simultaneously.

we have one of these but i was against buying one in the first place. i set one rule that there was no bending of it. i made it quite clear that if one animal was ever hurt or killed by the bb gun i would break it into many pieces and i would never allow my boys to have another one

They can be a lot of fun, however are to be treated just like a real firearm. I have known people that have BB gun fights and the injurys can be more serious than you think. Nice pic, lol.

Yes numbah, leave the cat alone. Especially mine.

Just leave the cat alone.

Just be careful with the model that you get. Some of these can be really high powered. My mother wouldn't let me get one until I was in the 7th grade. This thing is so powerful it can shoot the metal BB's right through my 1 inch thick fence. Not your typical toy.

I fired a few of these that belonged to some of the boys in my neighborhood when I was around 9 or 10. The most I would ever want to do is see how well I could hit a target. But, I never really got into guns since I could never stand the idea of hurting anything. I was always the little bag giving the other kids a lot of grief about such things.

You'll shoot your eye out.

I had a BB gun and several pellet guns when I was a kid. We still use them to kill squirells. They are fun but can be dangerous. Always use under adult supervision and treat them just like a real firearm.
