What Wiseguy, Kamyliene and Sucks said. Gimme any downhill and it was my first mode of transportation.
With my children, it was different; I customized their Radio Flyer. I made a cushion for the bottom, upholtstered backs at each end and armrests with cup holders for their sippy cups. They'd sit facing each other with her legs laying over his and I'd pull them around the neighborhood. They must have felt like royalty and I enjoyed listening to them giggling and talking to each other. The entire package lifted out for more mundane activities like roaring down the driveway into the street when Dad wasn't looking...

Used mine for my paper route. Used it at the corner store, and used it to try and smash it into something while my friends were sitting in it.

I never had a wagon when I was a kid, and I've always wanted one. My husband got me one about a year ago, a really nice Radio Flyer (an "ATW", apparently . . . "All-Terrain Wagon". I dunno. It's like the SUV of the wagon world. The wheels on that thing are HUGE. And screw those plastic ones, mine's a big, metal monstrosity.). And that thing is damn useful! Helps bring in huge loads of groceries. Bring it to the park and haul all of our stuff (blankets, cooler, balls, etc.). I bring it to the retired horse farms so I can haul 40-50 pounds of carrots to feed all the horses (and one box of dog buscuits for the dogs . . .). When I get around to having a kid, a wagon will be a must-have for toys.

Pragmatic. Good for both storage and transportation purposes. Multitasking at a young age builds character.

I liked my Radio Flyer. I remember being pulled in it by my grandfather. Lots of nice memories. We bought my dauhter a Radio Flyer for this Christmas and they are only made of plastic now. Can't believe that.
