If your musically inclined, that is a great resolution.... however, your neighbors might not appreciate it....lol

I wish I could learn to play an instrument.I have thought about taking piano lessons but keep putting it off for when I will not be so busy.My new years resolution should be to not put things off.

The only musical instrument I care to play is the radio. The blasted stereo is even too complex for me. Tweeters and Woofers... ?

I wish I could learn a musical instrument but before I would commit to that i would have to make a resolution to have more patience and confidence to try and learn to play a musical instrument. I have a lot of respect for someone who learns to play any instrument and stick with it. wish I could.

I picked up a sax about a month ago and have some lessons lined up at the local community college. The chair of the music program said once I get good I can join the school band, we'll see about that. I'm excited it's a skill that can stick with you forever once you figure out how it works.

It's fun,as long as you relax and don't get discouraged at the time and effort it takes to get really good.Even if you just play for your own enjoyment,it can be very rewarding and ,who knows-you might just wind up opening for your favorite bands one day!

Always a part of my resolution. I play trumpet, and every year I resolve to practice more. Lasts about a month.

Not much point in this. I can't carry a tune in a wheelbarrow.

Too late in life and I already know one.

Bought a fender accoustic guitar three months ago. I can now play exactly one, extremely kick ass song (wilco's 'via chicago.') But my technique is lousy, I think. So my one and only 2005 resolution is to budget the time / money to sign up for guitar lessons from one of the many talented, underemployed musicians that roam san francisco. Support local musicians, learn an art I should have learned a long time ago - seems perfect to me.
