I never had a treehouse myself but during my teenage years when I was going through my beer drinking stage the place to go was Eddie Slater's treehouse. It was equipped with a ladder for easy entry and exit, electricity, lights, carpeting, and my friends and I spent many happy evenings in Eddie's treehouse where the laughter could be heard throughout the back yard. I still laugh inside when I think of the time Eddie sang us an obscene version of Smoke Gets In Your Eyes (They....asked me how I knew..... raccoon _____ was blue) Eddie has since passed away (alcoholism at the age of 29) and I look back on those times as a lot of fun although I had no idea at the time that I was helping to escort him to an early death. His treehouse is a part of my teenage history and even though I regret the later outcome for Eddie, those days were happy times for me and my friends, and I look back on the treehouse itself with much affection.

I had a life size playhouse in my backyard. My dad and grandfather made it for me. enough room to go in with a little table. about the size of a 10'by 8' shed. we used to play house with our dolls etc. when I got too old for it my dad sent it up north and it became a home for my cousin's horse. oh well nice memories were with that little house.and kept a horse out of the rain for awhile.
