 | X Factor Z (13) 11/20/2007 | Because Bush and his antilibertarian social conservative allies hate liberty and want to outlaw everything and thus there are more needless laws that make more needless criminals.

 | sixty7a (3) 04/17/2005 | Yeah, this has nothing to do with lack of morals on the part of those who commit the crimes and how they were raised. Here's a wake up call: The office of President does very little to actually bring the crime rate down no matter who's in office.
Its about FAMILY VALUES and MORALS. People CHOOSE to break the law(s), they know its wrong and illegal when they do it and they choose to do so anyway, its lack of MORALS!!!!!

 | Jar-Jar Binks (16) 01/06/2005 | Under Clinton, crime went down. Since then, hundreds of thousands of police officers have been laid off their jobs because of Bush. Therefore, crime has gone way up again!

 | ClassicTVFan47 (36) 01/06/2005 | The Crime Rate has decreased over 20% in the last ten years. And, chew on this! There were just about 2 million violent crimes in 2003. If you take into account that the US Population is 380 million and each violent crime affects 2 people, that means that violent crime still only affects LESS than 2 percent of the entire US population!

 | Daccory (15) 01/06/2005 | These have gone up in most Western countries regardless of who is in power.
It's something we all need to deal with as a society...politicians simply haven't got the answer.
