This breed is the only cat I have ever owned, and the only kind I ever will. They have all gotten attached to me in the best way possible. It's a real loss when they reach their time and go to kitty heaven. Love this cat!

The tabby that I own (a grey and white one), is probally one of the best cats, that I have had so far.

She's friendly, affectionate, playful, and really great to have around.

I don't particularly care for any kind of domestic feline - had a bad experience with one that attacked me for no reason (I'm sure that cat lovers will say there must have been a reason, but there wasn't. It was a neighbor's cat that I had played with often, and one day she just decided to sink her fangs into my wrist and not let go). Anyway, I think that cats are lazy, manipulative, too damned independent, and don't do much of anything to earn their keep. At least dogs bark when strangers come around. OK, cat lovers, I am now in your bad graces!

Gotta love those domestic shorthair-tabbies, or tiger-striped ones. Common enough, my two cats and my husband's cat are all tabbies or at least show some features; one's a grey, one's an orange, and one is actually all white, but the in the little dusting of orange on his head and his tail, you could see the faint but distinctive pattern that makes a tabby a tabby. I don't particularly have a preference for what breed the cat is, it's more based on their personalities. My favorite cats, though, all happen to be tabbies.

My orange tabby cat is the best. He is extremely affectionate and well mannered. He comes when you call him and is even dog-like sometimes. Amazing animal!
