Not sure how many stars. So I put one star. I just see racists as another group of haters. What a total waste of energy. Get a life, please! Many political leaders in the past (Hitler, etc.) and more recently have prayed on people's willingness to attack someone singled out for public scorn. Whether is race, color, or creed, it is just foolish. You don't have to love everyone or approve of their behavior but give up the hate. It mainly damages youself and can even shorten one's life. So do something positive with your life. (End of sermon)

I don't think people should be hated for being racist, for many people, ignorance and dogma are usually the driving factors.

I don't agree with their point of view, and it does make me angry that they think that way - but I don't know them individually so I can't say that I hate them as I don't know them.

I hate racism yes, and find racists in general to be pretty difficult to tolerate. This includes blacks who hate whites, whites who hate blacks, Asians who hate Jews, Latinos who hate Vulcans, etc. In other words, it's a vicious sword no matter who the user, a weapon that cuts both ways.

I don't like the way they are, but I don't hate them. I guess I feel sorry that they are so filled with hatred.

We may be different on the outside, but we're all alike on the inside regardless of your nationality. I hate people who are racist against blacks, wet-b***s (I'm a Hispanic by the way), whites, Jews, Orientals, Indians, Christians, Muslims, etc. Can't we all just get along?
CastleBee 02/07/2005
Racists are basically self imposed compassionless idiots. Anyone who has other options and knows it and still chooses to be a moron is worthy of being held in contempt.

I hate racist, they are small-minded. Maybe 'hate' is too strong a word, how about, unpleasant? Yes, racist are unpleasant. You could say, I hate being around racist because they are unpleasant. They are too hard to correct because of their small-mindedness. Racism has many definitions. For this topic I used the bad definition of a racist. UPDATE: I hate being around Ralph the wonder llama, I really don't need to explain why, most everyone here can figure that one out.

I don't hate anybody. But if there's one group of people I disapprove of more than any other, it would probably be those who contantly focus on race and keep stirring up trouble. I live in a town that is a little over half black, and two members of my family have been deliberately mistreated on occasion just because of their white skin. I don't know whether we'll ever achieve what Martin Luther King wanted, where people are judged by their character alone, and not by what they look like.

I'm tolerant of everyone - except those who aren't tolerant of me and would seek to limit my freedoms / beliefs.

Nothing worse than a misinformed bigot afraid of people different than them.

If you got to hate anyone then hate them for who they are not what they are.
mikeholly93 11/11/2003
I definitely do hate racists who hate blacks, jews, hispanics, etc.

We're all the same inside. Remember that.

Luckily, very few people I come across are truly racist--ignorant, perhaps, but not racist. I agree with A. Scott's post that the term racist is overused, not only here, but EVERYWHERE--it seems that almost every disagreement where there are 2 parties of different races, this comes up. However, occasionally, you DO meet up with a full-blooded, raging racist who honestly wishes everyone else of a different race would die. These people are highly disturbing, they often complain that they are the targets of racism, no matter what color they are, and then say the most horrible things about entire groups of people they don't even know, simply because of skin tone.

The word racist appears to be overused in many comments posted throughout RateItAll. To quote the American Heritage dictionary, racism is the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability, and that a particular race is superior to others. So, it makes more sense to use the word when someone not only shows constant skin-based prejudices, but also combines this with distinct feelings that another race is inferior. In theory, a person of any color can be racist, but having a distorted sense of superiority is more likely to occur when someone's class is predominant. As to not water-down the word, I would personally label only the extremists this way. May enlightenment help these people someday learn how to judge character more appropriately.
