With Goldfinger, the best of the worst. A fascinating and utterly intriguing villain.

The first villain in the Bond series, namely Dr. No, set the initial standard for the franchise, namely exotic ancestry and appearance. (The viewer doesn't see him until late in the film.) Even the character's name is exotic. All wasn't perfect, however, as Wiseman's acting was a bit sub par, especially when compared to some of his followers (e.g. Gert Fröbe, Robert Shaw, and Christopher Lee). Joseph Wiseman was born May 15, 1918 in Montreal, Quebec.
