One may be willing to negotiate. Yet, if one is negotiating out of fear, chances are said one has already lost the high ground. At this point, the opponent may not wish to negotiate at all. I'm certain Sun Tzu has something profound to say about this particular predicament . . .

A very logical proclamation. We must never negotiate out of fear to preserve a blind peace, but we must never fear to negotiate if true peace is in our reach.
