Lame movie with a weak premise that wasnt handled well. This should have been about two very opposite guys ( Like say Larry Bird and Magic Johnson) who come from two different basketball backgrounds, who come together despite their obvious ( and very funny) differences and make it big. Instead it's a forgettable movie with a racist ( when you think about it) title. I forgot Rosie Perez was in it as well. Ugh. Plus....street hustlers are not the most likeable characters and this movie didnt make them any more appealing.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I really liked White Men Can't Jump. I'm not sure why or how, but the movie did manage to capture something for those of who are obsessed with basketball, are good enough to play on just about any pickup court in the country, but are not quite good enough to make a career out of it. Streetball has a culture all of its own, and while much of the movie was over the top, it caught some of it. I thought the whole jeopardy byline was a little ridiculous, but the movie was enjoyable nonetheless. And yes, Woody Harrelson did in fact play college ball somewhere.

Can't act much either, apparently.

Average. Nothing spectacular about the script or the acting. Overall, a mediocre film hardly worth considering if you're looking for a good sports flick.

Great dialog, great interaction between Snipes and Harrelson and pretty good ball in a story about street hustlers and a Jeopardy-crazed girlfriend.

Was expecting a lot more from this movie. Was really disappointed.
