If I had to watch this movie or the Post Man I'd rather watch this 1. The fact though.. that he pissed into a little system and treated his own piss.. THEN drank it made me want to stop watching it immediately.

Hardly the stinker that its reputation makes it out to be.  It wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't unwatchable.  It just happened to be made at the exact moment when Kevin Costner was due for a fall from grace after a meteoric rise to the top of the film world.  He made the mistake of going for the gusto by producing and starring in the summer's biggest blockbuster when people were growing tired of seeing him on the screen.  He produced an over blown, over budget flop and critics, comics and competiors jumped on it like a pack of rats on a truckload of spoiled meat.  If the film had been made by a new director with a hot young actor, it would have been reviewed as a daring though failed attempt at visionary film making and critics would have praised Dennis Hopper's performance, which was great.

The BIGGGG Sleeper. I mean I literally fell asleep twice during this movie. I could not get into it. It was meaningless and dumb and way too much production value put into it for what it was.

big flop for this one. it was boring and kevin costner was not at his best. this was a big mistake for him

Thank goodness, Water World is on this list. I have said for the past few years that along with Billy Jack, this is the single worst movie I ever saw. It was everything I don't like in a movie - gross in places, violent in other places, immoral, and far, far too unrealistic to be entertaining.

I guess from a financial standpoint, it was a disaster. Critically, not that bad; much better than the Postman.

It's actually an ok film.

It's pretty bad - I love laughing at it when it's on TV, but there are plenty of worse movies on this list. Wasn't Dennis Hopper over-the-top in this one?

Ok, I guess I'm just weird, but I actually liked this movie. Yes, it had some big flaws (Where did they get all those cigarettes?), but there were also things some people might not think about, like the value of dirt and paper. If you take it for what it's worth it's an enjoyable movie.

An absolute dud.

I like this movie and feel that it gets bashed unfairly. It's just an action adventure in the spirit of the Mad Max movies.

I think I can honestly describe this film as a 'floater' (If you don't know what that means I'm not telling you!). By now, Hollywood had started to realise that Costner probably wasn't lead actor material after all, thankfully!
