It's a good brew but at a premium price. I bought it once. I later noticed that the can is 25 ml smaller than other canned beer sold in Canada and I felt ripped. I'll stick with other good brews that are cheaper and don't shrink the product.

Good beer!!!

Stella is a decent beer, but not my favorite. It is light and not over done with the flavor. It can be enjoyable to drink on a hot day!
imogen 06/21/2009
I really like Stella Artois, which is not surprising considering I really like lagers. Stella Artois does not have an overwhelming, powerful flavor like most Belgian brews as it does not have as high an alcohol content as many Belgians. Instead, it is a smooth "everyday" beer.
Spike65 05/06/2009
Light, clean, crisp, sweet with a dry bitter finish. What's not to like? Price $1.45 US for one bottle. Unfortunately most grocery stores price it close to $10 US for a six pack.
Mbinkley2 05/02/2009
A couple people on here are completly wrong. They have obviously never had Stella!First of all, it's 11.2 ounces, not 12, It does not have a strong taste either, It's actually very smooth and damn good!

12oz bottle pours golden in color, nice white head, not too bitter and not too soft, a pretty decent import

For men who aren't confident enough in their masculinity to drink Pinot Grigio.

Stella is European beer for those who don't like beer.
Shaggyb 01/31/2009

They saw a lot of business from me last night. Belgium beers are truly in a class of their own.
chrismart83 01/14/2008
I think Stella is ok, the taste is abit strong though.
GenghisTheHun 12/17/2007

Love the Stella!
EternalLove 11/15/2007
Great beer among many! It's smooth, crisp and refrshing.
CzechMate 11/14/2007
Would recommend Czechvar (Budvar, AKA the original Budweiser) over this one.
xtnshun 10/30/2007
One of my favorites, the best selling beer in the world I believe. it's a "premium" beer in the US. WHich is why I like to drink it when in London!
JS9968NYMets 08/11/2007
Probably one of the best beers out there... I like it because it's light great for dinners without the gassy fill me up kinda beers... Top five on my list... I buy it often..... 4 0ut 5....If you cant have a Stella another similiar beer is the Italian beer Peroni... good too!
NashpacBHG 07/03/2007
Just about the best non-German beer ALIVE

What, exactly, is so good about this very average brew?
tekrider 05/12/2006
This very old brew entered my life two years ago at a casino bar. Not recognizing the tap, I asked to try it and was immediately impressed by its flavor and feel. My stomach won't handle the heavy brews, ale is out too, so I found Stella at the right time. Bottled as good as kegged, it never disappoints with any food or setting (probably not at a biker's rally) and will probably endure another 500 years.
blackcherry169 02/11/2006
It is OK, but notice tonight that bottles only contain 11.2 oz. That is roughly 6% less than your 12 oz bottles. I was worried that I was not getting a true 12 oz curl, so added some extra weigth to my hand. Lots of beautiful drink this beer, but I don't think I will be confused with one anytime again soon.
tron999 10/28/2005
a real mans beer, the kind of stuff that a real man like hulk or vealo might drink.......i bet you £20 that you wouldn't see a big poof like mikey drink this unless he was trying to show off in front of his friends....normally he'll drink this and then throw up in the toilet...
dragonman 09/20/2005
If this is the Budweiser of Germany, I'm moving to Germany. While it's not the best Belgian lager it's very easy to drink and goes down smooth, I could easily have many of these. I was very satified by the drinkability and clean finish.
OldSeaRock 04/18/2005
It's a shame that Stella isn't available anwhere I shop, I'd be a regular consumer. Creamy, rich with a tart finish... fine stuff and unique flavor.
peteywheatstra w 04/11/2005
I can't find this beer ANYWHERE around here. I went to several taverns that have over imported 200 beers and huge liquor stores but NO STELLA! I was told its not distributed in my area..tsk. I had it in Europe where they drink it like water. It's not bad for a mass produced beer.
lorne 03/02/2005
Belgiam has much better stuff to offer, like Orval trappist
JonTheMan 02/24/2005
Reassuringly expensive because it has a reassuringly high alcohol content. As such it tastes pretty nice to an inexperienced drinker like myself.
Skizero 01/24/2005
a lot of folks dig this. but i don't really. Stella has a bad smell to me. smells skunked all of the time. the taste is watery.
Stellafish 01/05/2005
This is the first of a two part rating.Am I alone in noticing a difference? (Applies to cans in my case)OK so I cant do 2 ratings,so I'llexplain;I have noticed a marked difference between cans brewed in the UK and the genuine article from Belgium.I would have only given 2 stars to the UK brew. Can't we get anything right?
invictus 11/11/2004
I first tried Stella when I was in England, as that's the only thing they really drunk in those parts next to Fosters and I wasn't going to drink that. I found that it was kind of bitter going down the first few times I drunk it, but it just became a very nice taste. It's like Guinness in a way, an acquired taste, and once you get a palate for that, you won't drink any other beer, and this is true for me.
irishgit 10/19/2004
No better than average. Pretentious as hell.
gmanod 10/17/2004
I don't understand why people drink this stuff, I think it's just pretentious. It really isn't very good and is fairly pricy. Definetly the piss beer of Belgium.
avianser 09/26/2004
How exactly do you PRONOUNCE the Artois in Stella? I want to order this but no funny moments at the bar needed!
zuchinibut 06/27/2004
Stella has a great beer taste, that is not too bitter yet not watered down like most mass-produced beers. This has become a common choice of mine in establishments that are nice enough to serve it.
