I don't undertsnad how someone can hate kids. We were all kids one day and people put      up with is so now it's our turn.

Im not to crazy ab out them either. I dont hate them tho lol. I got 9 neices, and nephews.

Do not wait until 9 months later to decide that you hate changing diapers.

You'd have to be pretty closed minded to hate kids.

For me no problem...don't have nor do I want kids myself.

if he is mean to kids thats a problem. i'm not a kid person myself. i don't have the patience. i'm not mean or anything like that i just know my limitations.

Well, I generally try to avoid people who HATE other groups of people, period. But if two people dating *both* hated kids, sounds like they may have something in common. Perhaps the start of a strange relationship...LOL.

Not a reason to dump a date, but certainly not long-term girlfriend material. Chicks who hate kids usually don't like something about themselves and it won't take long before they find something wrong with you. Listen, grasshopper. . .

Surely this depends on your personal feelings about kids.

This is a hard one for me to word, so please be patient with me ;-) thanks alot! I love little kids. I would not want to go out with anyone who would hurt them. I have seen people do this at my mom's freind's so i have always gotten back at them in non violent ways( I did not want the kids to catch on to violence just like the bullies) I dont want kids now since I am only 18.5yrs old and I am not patient enough yet to have my own. I realized this when i was stuck in the bad snow of this year in my parents doublewide (a smaller one) for 2 weeks( I was stuck also with 8 other people) with my nice Emmy and she cried the whole time (It was absolutely not her fault as her parents are not very caring for her at all. they did not play with her much (I Played with her alot!) and they still dont!) I admit I was a bully at times but that was to those little bratty kids that teased other little kids that did not do anything wrong!

I think hating kids is very inappropriate, as it is bad to hate anyone. HOWEVER, there is nothing wrong with not wanting kids.

Depends on to what extent. It's typically not an issue for dating if both parties have no children. For dating, if you're a single mother and you're dating a guy who hates kids, you may put your children in jeopardy if he's violent against children--I hear about way too many heartbreaking stories of child abuse from a mother's boyfriend. If you're going into a relationship, it's good to know how the other person feels about children before getting into marriage--many marriages suffer when one spouse wants children and the other doesn't. My ex-boyfriend hated children, but I didn't realize it until he screamed at his 4-year-old cousin for throwing dirt on his shirt (the child was playing), making the poor child start sobbing. We got into an argument, in front of his whole family, about it: How would you like it if I threw dirt on you! he said. Well, I'd throw some back at you, but you'd cry, I replied. Maybe it was wrong to humiliate him in front of his whole family, but I felt pretty justified. If that were a date, it would definately be the last one with him!
