Not that big of a deal

This would be a problem for me,someone who hates animals in my opinion for no reason has issues.

TO CANADASUCKS: I could make this lie work. I spent about a week in Korea doing some training when I was with the 31st MEU. Didn't eat any dog, but I did see a shop that sold it. From what I was told about 10% of the population eats dog at least occasionally.

Try telling a date you ate dog in Korea. . .even if you didn't!

I won't date people who hate animals.

it would be a problem. I am the opposite. I love animals especially dogs. for someone to come along and say "oh you have a dog, i hate dogs." sorry not getting rid of my dog. so guess there would not be anymore dates.

Okay, this might not matter to some people, but seeing as how I have never had fewer than 10 pets at a time; this would be an issue. I'm not in the dating scene, but when I was, I didn't have casual things. I was looking for something with potential. Dating someone who hates animals, and who doesn't even try to warm up to the idea of them, wouldn't last very long with me...

The boyfriends are gone and the dogs are all still here. I am in the animal business and will always have dogs....

I really dont mind if she hates cats, birds, or cold blooded things, I would never own any of them. But I do watch closely a gal who claims she does not like dogs.

I don't see this a problem per se. If both people hate pets, who cares? If not, then this might be a legitimate reason to decline a second date.

This would be a major problem. My cats are my babies;I would never get rid of them because a date did not like them. It would be OK if a date wasn't crazy about them or just tolerated them;but if he actively disliked them or was unkind to them, that date would be history!

I would most certainly dump a date if he was mean to my dog. I tell every guy that I date that Dodger is part of the package if they want to go out with me...and so far the beau has no problem with him...and if he ever does have a problem with my chihuahua, the beau will go...not my dog...

I'm an animal lover so I would have a big problem with this.

Not the biggest reason to dump a date, unless he physically tries to hurt my cat or rabbit (or any of my pets).
